Horse Hair urn handmade by local Master Potter, John Hyder.
The horse hair technique is an old pottery process that utilizes the coarse hair from the tail or mane of a horse to burn patterns into the surface of a white hot pot. The strands of horse hair are placed on the pot surface by hand after being fired, leaving the imprint of the horse hair as black lines. This unique urn is a beautiful tribute for a companion up to 80 pounds and can be purchased with or without our cremation service.
